1. Wake your iPhone, then touch and hold the Lock Screen.
2. Tap Customize, then choose Lock Screen.
3. Tap the area below the clock for the rectangular widget (the word and its meaning), or the line above the clock for the one-line widget.
4. Choose Lexmio, then tap Done.

1. Touch and hold an empty area on your Home Screen.
2. Tap Edit, then Add Widget (or the + button on earlier iOS versions).
3. Search for Lexmio, pick the small or medium size, then tap Add Widget.

Open Lexmio once and finish setting up your plan. The widget then shows your words. If you reset Lexmio, open it again to choose new words. After a restart, iOS may wait until you unlock your iPhone once before widgets can read their words.

Lexmio prepares the upcoming words in advance, but iOS decides exactly when widgets refresh. Changes every 30 seconds or every minute are especially likely to be delayed or skipped by iOS. Longer intervals are the most reliable. Quiet hours keep the last word on screen overnight.

iOS styles Lock Screen widgets to match your wallpaper, so their colours are set by the system. Lexmio uses typography, not colour, so the word stays clear.

From the plan you chose: Everyday English, Work, Travel, Academic study, YDS / YÖKDİL, IELTS or TOEFL. Every new word comes from that plan, starting at your level. Lexmio plans a week of new words ahead, so your widget keeps bringing new words even on days you don’t open the app.

Open Your plan and change Plan, Level or New words. Your saved words and practice history stay. Exam plans cover a set range of levels, so Words start at can differ from your level: IELTS words, for example, start at B2.

Yes. Once you’ve seen today’s new words, Today offers five more, up to 20 new words in a day. They come back for review like the others, so each one adds a few short reviews over the coming months. When many words are waiting for practice, the offer pauses until you catch up.

No. The one-minute check asks which words you know, with a few made-up words mixed in to catch guesses, and suggests where to start. Levels are estimates, not certified results, and they don’t predict exam scores. Later, Lexmio may suggest an easier or harder level from your answers. It never changes your level without asking.

Once every word in your plan has been shown, Lexmio brings back the ones you haven’t marked as known. If you know every word in your plan, Today tells you so and you can choose another plan in Your plan. Your saved and practised words stay.

Swipe the word card left for the next word and right to go back to the one before. Swipe it up to see its details: the definition and the example’s translation. With VoiceOver, use the Next word, Previous word and Word details actions on the word.

Open the Practice tab and tap Practice for a minute. See the English word, try to recall its meaning, then reveal it and choose Again, Remembered or Easy. Each answer shows when you will see the word again: a few minutes for Again, then 1, 3, 7, 14, 30, 60 and 120 days as you keep remembering it. Practised words also appear in your widget between new words. New words come back on your widget on their third and seventh day without their meaning: try to remember it, then tap to check.

Tap I know it on the word. It stops appearing among your new words, and you can undo this any time from the Words tab.

English definitions, examples and their Turkish translations are written for Lexmio and checked before they ship. Many Turkish meanings draw on Wiktionary. A word’s sources are under Sources in its details, and Your plan → Word lists and credits lists every source we use.

Words play even in silent mode, so turn the volume up with the side buttons while Lexmio is open. If headphones are connected, the word plays there. If Lexmio says no English voice is available, add one in Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices → English.

New subscribers get the first week of the yearly subscription free. After it, the subscription renews every year at the price shown before you started, until you cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the free week ends and you won’t be charged. You can also subscribe monthly, or buy lifetime access once instead.

Yes, if you allow notifications. Two days before your free week ends, Lexmio sends a reminder with the date and the yearly price, and Today shows the same note from then on. Your plan → Reminders also has an optional daily practice reminder at a time you choose; it skips days you’ve already practiced. All reminders are scheduled on your iPhone.

Yes. Open Your plan → Subscription → Manage subscription and choose the other option. Apple handles the change and shows when it starts and what you’ll pay.

In Lexmio, open Your plan → Subscription → Manage subscription, or go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Lexmio. Lexmio keeps working until the end of the period you’ve paid for.

Sign in with the same Apple Account and tap Restore on the subscription screen, or Your plan → Subscription → Restore purchases. Your plan and progress come back from your iPhone backup, not from the purchase.

Your plan, saved words and progress stay on your iPhone. Lexmio shows the subscription screen when you open it, and the widget asks you to open the app. Subscribe again and you continue where you left off.

Apple handles payments and refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

There is no Lexmio account; purchases use your Apple Account. Your plan, saved words and practice history stay on your iPhone and are included in your normal iPhone or iCloud backup. See the privacy policy, or Your plan → Privacy in the app.

Open Your plan → Reset Lexmio on this iPhone. This removes your plan, saved words and practice history and cannot be undone. It doesn’t cancel a subscription.

Lexmio follows your iPhone’s language. To choose a language for Lexmio only, open Your plan → App language, or go to Settings → Apps → Lexmio → Language. That option appears when your iPhone has more than one language in Settings → General → Language & Region.

İngilizce tanımlar, örnekler ve Türkçe çevirileri Lexmio için yazılır ve yayınlanmadan önce kontrol edilir. Türkçe anlamların birçoğu Vikisözlük’ten yararlanır. Bir kelimenin kaynakları, ayrıntılarındaki Kaynaklar bölümündedir; kullandığımız tüm kaynaklar Planın → Kelime listeleri ve kaynaklar bölümünde yer alır.

Kelimeler sessiz modda da çalar; Lexmio açıkken yan tuşlarla sesi aç. Kulaklık bağlıysa kelime kulaklıktan çalar. Lexmio İngilizce ses bulunamadığını söylüyorsa Ayarlar → Erişilebilirlik → Sözlü İçerik → Sesler → İngilizce bölümünden bir ses ekle.
